Please enjoy our latest item, a photo report from June 28th, 2012:
The reason for this late night trip to Disneyland was for a special Annual Passholder event showcasing the new Glow with the Show ears. The event was an after hours showing of World of Color where everyone received these new mouse ears
Let's head into Disney California Adventure!
The Carthay Circle Theatre is lovely at night
Standing underneath this archway and looking across the vista of the Ornament Valley is absolutely breathtaking. Words can't describe how wonderful it is!
Cars Land was very crowded on this Thursday night
Luckily the beauty of the area distracts you from the crowds
Even with the crowds on the street, Luigi's Flying Tires had the shortest wait I've seen for it, about 50 minutes
Everyone having fun with the beach balls
This was the end of the FastPass return line for Radiator Springs Racers!
A stage set-up for filming of the Australian Today Show outside Flo's V8 Cafe
My first nighttime ride on Mater's Junkyard Jamboree!
Be sure to check those rear-view mirrors!
I definitely was not prepared for the huge line to get the Glow with the Show ears. It started by The Little Mermaid and had a while to go...
Fortunately, the views were pretty good the whole time :-)
There was a mass of zig-zags along the boardwalk by California Screamin'. We were only stuck here for about 20 minutes though
The line moving along down towards Toy Story Midway Mania
The Glow with the Show ears were distributed along the parade route between Paradise Gardens and Silly Symphony Swings
Plenty to go around
A dorky photo of me showcasing the ears. They may not look like anything special unlit, but once turned on, something magical happens!
Everyone situated in Paradise Park waiting for the show to start
Here's an HD video showing the ears at work in a few sections of World of Color
And here's an HD video of the wonderful new Brave scene in the show
As we were heading out of the park, we walked past Cars Land, which was the emptiest I'd ever seen it. Definitely picture worthy!
Buena Vista Street was practically a ghost town as well
The Big Rock Candy Mountain model in the display window of Trolley Treats
